Company SkyVera was founded at the beginning of the year 2009 under the name SkyNet - Veracomp as a joint venture of companies SkyNet a.s. and leading Polish IT distributor Veracomp SA.  History of SkyNet distribution division goes back to many years ago. At the beginning there was a contract with American company Secure Computing. For several years, SkyNet fulfilled successfully the role of value-added distributor (VAD) on the Czech and Slovak markets.

The contract with U.S. Company Fortinet 2006 meant a fundamental break. This contract was a result of the decision about a new five-year business strategy, in which the distribution should play a more important role. Business and technical teams were strengthened and new business relations were established. The success we experienced in the year 2007 was the confirmation of this strategy.

In 2008 we started to deal with the idea of separation of the distribution division into an independent company. Therefore, we started looking for a suitable partner that would want to enter the Czech and Slovak market and was also disposed of the experience in the field of distribution. Company Veracomp SA complies with those requirements fully. Veracomp is an experienced distributor and leader among the most important players on the Eastern European market. They were keen to expand their activities here. After several months of negotiations, the agreement was concluded. This step started an entirely new phase of distribution for all of us and now we are able to offer to customers top products from Fortinet and Aruba and also other industry-leading products in the telecommunications and network security, such as F5, Extreme Networks, Polycom, Kernun and more.

In early 2010 was the process of the foundation of the independent company finished by changing the name to SkyVera s.r.o.
