Fortinet Named Leader of Worldwide Unified Threat Management Market for 22nd Consecutive Quarter by Leading Market Research Firm.

Fortinet® - a leading network security provider and worldwide leader of unified threat management (UTM) solutions - today announced that new IDC Tracker research data positions Fortinet as the number one vendor in worldwide UTM factory revenue for Q2 2011, published on September 23, 2011. This data marks the 22nd consecutive quarter Fortinet has maintained its leadership position.
IDC identifies the UTM market segment as the fastest growing segment of the broader network security market and expects UTM to represent approximately 30 percent of the network security appliance market by 2014.
Data in the latest IDC Worldwide September 2011 Security Appliance Tracker indicated:
- Fortinet leads the market with 17.0% UTM share
- Fortinet is the overall leader in UTM factory revenue for Q2 2011
- Fortinet is the No. 1 vendor by factory revenue in two key enterprise price bands -- $10K-$24.9K and $50K-$99.9K
- Fortinet is the overall leader in UTM factory revenue for Asia Pacific, Japan and Rest of World (ROW)
